What is Atalaya

Atalaya is a security dashboard, capable of aggregating the information provided by several popular security appliances into a set of uniform metrics.

As an executive reporting tool it can be used to quickly assess the health of an entire IT infrastructure. Operators monitoring its security status can quickly identify common patterns. Drilling down from the level of entire datacenters to single hosts allows them to effectively identify specific issues. It is, by our knowledge, the only open source effort in this direction.

After having completed a major rewrite of the code base, added tons of features and designed a comprehensive and usable user interface we are almost ready for our first public release, so stay tuned!

We are working on getting the 1.0 version out. Before releasing our first public stable version we are fixing bugs, improving the documentation and stabilyzing the API for developers. On the feature side, we are completing the long wanted reporting functionality, that is being the cause of this delay. Hopefully we should have everything sorted out for next week, so hold on.

We have finally published the URL of our SVN repository. The delay has been due to some sensible information that had to be stripped from the source tree. In the meantime most of the backend has been reworked, in the direction of building an open platform for infrastructure security monitoring. See this page for access information
